Tonight saw the true drama of the Subsidiary Cup come to Gressenhall…
4 Blocks of 3 Bowlers with 2 Bowls each took to the green at 7pm against what we knew would be a very strong Bawdeswell team.
After a well fought 21 ends of roving cot the scores were level at 69-69! Unbelievable after 84 ends of bowls.
All bowlers went back onto the green to bowl one more end. Unfortunately for Gressenhall it wasn’t to be as the team went down by one shot overall.
A great night of exciting and entertaining bowls, against friendly opposition, finished off with a lovely cuppa and a biscuit.
We may have lost the game, but the spirit within the club is there for all to see. It’s alway nice to win but it’s even better to see so many faces, both playing and supporting our little club.
